Waterberg Game Park is perfect for lovers of African wild life. Best of all,its close enough to civilization to make a weekend escape well worthwhile -its just three-and-a-half hours north of Pretoria. Even better, the area is malaria free. Duck out of the rat race at lunchtime on a Friday and, long before twilight, youll be in the shade of a spreading tree, ready to toast the spectacular Bushveld sunset with something delicious sizzling on the braai – a feature of your fully-equipped self-catering stone-and-thatch chalet. Keep an eye out for your new wild neighbors that include zebra, giraffe and ten species of antelope, not to mention a wide variety of small game on a glorious 450 hectares of bushveld.
Enjoy fabulous bird watching, game drives or get up close and personal on a game walk. Enjoy your own walk-about safari or bicycle trail ride. You can safely walk or cycle along any one of many path sand tracks (bring your mountain bike). Come and watch the sun rise and set over this beautiful Waterberg wilderness from one of two lookout points. Here, rush hour is made up of a passing parade of wild game ambling down to the waterhole for a drink before darkness falls. Being close to nature doesn’t mean giving up wonderfully civilized facilities like a play area for the kids, full-sized tennis courts, mini golf, a dairymaid service and even an excellent onsite bar and restaurant, known for its succulent fare. Wonderful wilderness awaits you at Waterberg Game Park. Come and see.
