Atop a hillside and overlooking an amazing panorama of the Indian Ocean, the Chaka’s Rock Chalets are an ideal destination for a family breakaway, with much to do really close by.
In addition to all the comforts of a home-from-home, the fully-contained chalets each feature private braai (barbeque) areas and lock-up garages. With its warm and friendly atmosphere, it makes a welcome haven from the fast pace of big-city life, yet offers all the modern amenities and services to holidaymakers.
There is no shortage of fun in the sun at the resort itself either. Suck in deep lungfuls of tangy salt air while chilling next to the sparkling outdoor swimming pool. Work up a sweat with a brisk game of tennis or squash, followed by an hour or two in the wellness center, while the littlies play happily in the playground area. Take a gentle 15-minute stroll to long, sandy beaches, enjoy safe bathing in and around the warm tidal pools, spend the day hunting for shells or fishing from the famous black rock. And as the sun sets, sip cocktails on the patio and watch dolphins frolic along the spectacular African coastline. Right in the heart of the mighty Zulu homeland, the decor and food also pays tribute to the influence of Indian and English colonial traditions.
Within easy reach, the nearby towns of Salt Rock and Ballito offer good shopping, quirky restaurants and fabulous bars. Other attractions include microlight flights, skydiving, Crocodile Creek, Shakaland and deep sea fishing.
Only parties where an adult (over 21 years of age) is present will be able to check in. Please be advised that the sleeper couches in the units are only suitable for children up to 12 years of age.
General: All complaints regarding resorts should be directed to the resorts itself and Timeshare Sentinel will not be held liable for any complaints regarding the quality of accommodation, services, facilities and any other complaints relevant to the resort. The providers of the accommodation on the Timeshare Sentinel website are independent bodies and not agents or employees of Timeshare Sentinel. Timeshare Sentinel will not refund in the event of double reservations, strike, force majeure (hurricanes, flooding, earthquake, etc.) or other causes beyond their direct control (disruptions in water supply, power outages etc.), and will have no responsibility for any additional expense, omissions, delays, re-routing or acts of any government or authority. The user shall be bound by the resort rules and the use agreement applicable between the member/shareholder and the Resort/Share block/Points Club. Timeshare Sentinel will not be held responsible for any incorrect information supplied with regards to the resort not due to Timeshare Sentinel’s negligence. The resort reserves the right to refuse admittance if the booking confirmation letter is not produced, or if the number of persons exceeds that shown on the confirmation letter/unit configuration. Persons allowed include children of all ages. Check-in will only be allowed on presentation of a valid confirmation letter and corresponding guest ID (Member Reservations & Guest Certificates). Timeshare Sentinel does not take responsibility for any accommodation purchased from a second or third party or incorrect information supplied by a second/third party. On selling of Timeshare Sentinel inventory is strictly prohibited which will result in termination of membership as well as cancellation of all reservations with full forfeiture of amounts paid.
If you expect to arrive late for check in, please ensure you telephone the resort to make arrangements for the key prior to arriving.
Please bring your own kit for tennis or squash.
Unit Assignment: The resort has the right to assign a different unit of the same occupancy to the one originally allocated. Should a unit number not appear on your reservation letter, one will be assigned to you by the resort on arrival.
The resort does supply extra blankets on request, but not linen for baby cots.
